Welcome to our farm apartments in Červený Kostelec
Looking for perfect countryside calm, while still having the best day trips within easy reach? Our guesthouse offers cosy accommodation in the heart of the Kladsko Borderland. Whether you’re after relaxation on the farm or planning an active holiday, you’ll find the perfect base here.
Trips and activities all year round
Whenever you visit, the area around Červený Kostelec won’t let you sit still:
Water and summer fun
On hot days you can cool off right here in our own pond, in the nearby Špinka and Brodský ponds, or head to the Rozkoš reservoir (known as the „East Bohemian Sea“), perfect for swimming and paddleboarding.
Rock cities and nature
In spring and autumn, head out to the breathtaking Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, the Broumov Walls, or take a stroll through the picturesque Babiččino údolí (Grandmother’s Valley).
Cycling in every direction
Hop on your bike and ride the trails in the Jestřebí Mountains. More demanding cyclists can also easily reach the ridges of the Giant Mountains and the Eagle Mountains. Families with children will enjoy the new cycle paths around the Rozkoš reservoir.
Winter fun
Once the snow falls, the area offers beautiful cross-country ski trails and romantic walks through the quiet, snow-covered countryside. Ski lifts and slopes – not just for beginners – are close by too.
After a day out or some sport, you can pour yourself a beer straight from the tap in our tavern. Whether you just want to sit back or enjoy good times with friends and family, the tavern is here for you.
Celebrations, weddings and team building
The farm is not just a place to unwind – it is also a wonderful setting for moments you will never forget. A cosy tavern with a bar, an open-air grill, animals grazing in the pasture and views across the Kladsko Borderland create a backdrop no banquet hall can match. And when the evening turns into night, your guests don’t have to go anywhere – their apartment is just a few steps away.
Parties and family gatherings
Birthdays, anniversaries, christenings or a get-together of the whole family. Draught beer in the tavern, a barbecue in the yard and children thrilled by the animals – a great time for every generation.
Weddings
An intimate wedding with a countryside atmosphere you will love to remember. A ceremony in nature, a feast in the tavern and accommodation for your guests right on site.
Team building and company events
Get your colleagues out of the office. A shared programme or a bike trip around the area during the day, and an evening in the tavern or by the grill – that is how great teams are built.

Life on the farm
We keep animals on the farm, which is why we value peace and a clean environment all the more. For this reason we are unable to accommodate guests with pets.
Alpacas, goats, sheep and piglets graze in the pasture, and if you’re lucky, you might spot our kangaroos too – perhaps with a young joey peeking out of its mother’s pouch. The animals are used to people, so children can safely get close, feed them, or give them a gentle pat. A walk around the enclosures is a lovely treat for young and old visitors alike.

SIGHTSNové Město nad Metují Chateau

NATUREThe Adršpach-Teplice Rocks
The largest sandstone rock city in Central Europe, a national nature reserve with narrow gorges and boat trips on the lake beneath the rocks. The trail is marked and manageable for families with children. In season we recommend arriving in the morning, as it gets busy.
WITH KIDSDvůr Králové Zoo and Safari

SIGHTSOpočno Chateau
A Renaissance chateau of the Colloredo-Mannsfeld family with valuable collections of weapons, paintings and hunting trophies. An English park surrounds the chateau, ideal for a walk after touring the interiors. The arcades on Opočno’s square are also worth a stop.
NATUREThe Table Mountains (Poland) – Szczeliniec
Szczeliniec Wielki is the highest peak of the Table Mountains, with bizarre eroded sandstone formations and a view all the way to the Giant Mountains. A staircase of nearly 700 steps leads to the top, but the reward is one of the finest views in the area. You can combine the trip with the nearby Kudowa-Zdrój spa town.
RAINY DAYSDobrošov Artillery Fortress
The largest artillery fortress of the Czechoslovak border fortifications from 1937–1938, with part of the exhibition accessible underground. A tour of the underground corridors and casemates is a great tip for a rainy day. The area around the fortress also offers a lovely view into Poland.
MOUNTAINSThe Giant Mountains (Krkonoše)
The highest mountains in the Czech Republic, with Sněžka, draw visitors in summer for hiking and cycling, and in winter for skiing and cross-country skiing. The nearest slopes are around Trutnov, while more distant resorts like Pec pod Sněžkou or Špindlerův Mlýn are over an hour’s drive away. A good tip for a day trip by car too.
MOUNTAINSThe Eagle Mountains (Orlické hory)
A border mountain range with long ridge trails; in winter, popular ski resorts such as Deštné v Orlických horách or Říčky. In summer you’ll find quiet cycling and hiking trails, suitable for families with children too. Less crowded with tourists than the Giant Mountains.
WINTERZieleniec, Poland
A popular Polish ski resort with groomed slopes, and in summer a network of cycling trails and mountain bike routes. It lies just across the border near the spa town of Duszniki-Zdrój. A good choice for a day trip, even outside the season.
Family Park Česká Skalice
A family zoo park on the edge of Česká Skalice, run by an experienced animal keeper. Children will meet lots of animals and you can also book a hands-on experience, for example with lemurs. Open from March, mostly at weekends 10 am–5 pm.
Hopstráda rope park
A rope park in the woods by Náchod Castle with 6 courses and 92 obstacles – from easy children's routes to demanding courses. Children are secured and supervised by instructors. Open May to October, daily in July and August.

The Březinka infantry blockhouse has been restored to its 1938 condition and can be visited with a guide; the neighbouring Voda and Lom bunkers host exhibitions on the army and fortifications. Easy to combine with the Dobrošov fortress.
Kudowa-Zdrój spa (Poland)
A Polish spa town just across the border with a large spa park, a promenade and pavilions with freely accessible mineral springs. For a rainy day there is the Wodny Świat water park with a 92 m slide, a lazy river and whirlpools. Easy to combine with the Table Mountains.
Wenet Farm, Broumov
A family farm on the edge of Broumov with many kinds of animals, some of which children can stroke. The farm holds various events and also offers animal adoption. Combine your visit with a walk around the Broumov area or the Broumov Walls.
Błędne Skały (Poland)
A labyrinth of sandstone rocks in the Polish Table Mountains National Park, with narrow crevices up to 12 metres deep, tunnels and rock gates. The walk through takes about 35 minutes and in places you really have to duck. The season runs roughly from May to October.
Giant Mountains Treetop Walk
A wooden walkway over 1.5 km long in Janské Lázně leads through the treetops to a 45 m lookout tower with a panoramic view of the Giant Mountains. A great experience for the whole family, easy to combine with a stroll through the spa town.
You’ll also find a number of lookout towers in the area – we’re happy to recommend some tips on arrival.
What our guests say
The accommodation was clean and lovely. There is a little mini farm (hens, goats, llamas, kangaroos) and you can sit outside in nature or in the host's tavern. The host is happy to suggest where to go.
One of the most comfortable guesthouses in terms of comfort and amenities. Everything clean and fresh, warm in winter. Exceptionally good mattresses – I have probably never slept better.
A very quiet, beautiful and cosy place. You can tell it was built with blood, sweat and above all heart. It has a charm and atmosphere that draws you in.
A very kind host, an absolutely fantastic location, a peaceful place with animals on the farm. We will definitely be happy to come back.
I can definitely recommend it. It was our second visit and it was great again. Lovely rooms, a quiet place, a very well-equipped apartment.
Pleasant accommodation, kind owners, clean and beautifully furnished rooms. Beautiful nature all around, lots of places for trips and a cosy little pub.
